Transformers

Caught transformers the movie with the cg guys today, as well as an accidental buddy I got to know through work. I heard this movie is a good movie. Turns out……. well, it is a good one.

I have to give credit to the fascinating works of arts and fights betwwen the different transformers especially the very frightening and devilish act by the evil transformer lady. That was superb!

Besides that, the rest of the acts are a blur array of confusing action fights in which I believe no one can make out who is fighting who.

And as for the story plot, I like it. I would probably give the bf a punch if I were the girl. But things got sweet and nice ending. Who tells the Bf to be such a nice gentleman who still manages to capture the lady’s heart.

And one last thing – Megan Fox is hot!

And before I forget, the very words written outside the Dhoby Ghaut church wrote – “Be transformed, not terminated.”

How many times in our walk with God, we give up fighting because we do not get what we ask for? Don’t be terminated. Be transformed.

Fruitful Saturday

Today was intended to be a day of shopping at Ikea and Queensway shopping centre for Joyce (I mean, Ah Bee), and ‘Uncle and Auntie’. Intended to buy new year clothes and a new bed for Ah Bee. End up never buy anything at all. All we did was window-shop, eat, window-shop, sleep.

For the food, the Bukit Merah Beef soup is very nice.
‘Aloe vera’ taste-a-like taste just as fantastic.
Look forward to more next time.

Actually, the best part is the sleep (on Ikea’s bed)… and the relaxing rest on Ikea’s sofa… Ops…

What we all did was fruitful because…
James 1:27
Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

Sisters

If you don’t understand how a woman could both love her sister dearly and want to wring her neck at the same time, then you were probably an only child.  ~Linda Sunshine

A sister can be seen as someone who is both ourselves and very much not ourselves – a special kind of double.  ~Toni Morrison

A sibling may be the keeper of one’s identity, the only person with the keys to one’s unfettered, more fundamental self.  ~Marian Sandmaier

Sisters annoy, interfere, criticize.  Indulge in monumental sulks, in huffs, in snide remarks.  Borrow.  Break.  Monopolize the bathroom.  Are always underfoot.  But if catastrophe should strike, sisters are there.  Defending you against all comers.  ~Pam Brown

The most helpful thing contributed was this suggestion, “Maybe if we try to sing louder, more people will come and buy the things.”

The StanChart experience

“In marathons, everyone starts on equal footing. You realize that we’re really all the same people.”

Fresh before the run!

Fresh before the run!

I think what makes it different for everyone is the process towards reaching the goal. For me, I wanted to finish the race to prove to myself that I can finish what I plan to do. Well, I did finish it, just a little off my target of 2 hrs 5 mins. I got it done in 2 hrs 14 mins instead. Still, 3 cheers for myself!

Sightings

Sightings

I must say the best part of the race is the ending. Nothing beats the part of crossing the finishing line. Because of this, I think I will go back to run again.

Finishing medal!

MDIS Buddies

There is 101 reasons that made me super worried before I got into MDIS business course. So many questions flooded my mind, and there are so much uncertainties. The first term has definitely got its ups and downs. Despite the very challenging and competitive environment, I am thankful for the few friends who stick it through with me.

Deborah the very ‘dao’ cha bor – For being real and kind.
Yvonne aka absolutely bitchy – For being super funny and warm.
Charlie the very big hoohaa person – For being super on-the-ball and helpful.

I should really count my blessings that people like these are around to make life and studies so much better.
Some people come into my life and make life so bitter. Yet some come in, and make life so much sweeter.
I’m thankful for the good and the bad. Without the bad, I might never have appreciate the good.
